Step by Step

The Vatican Museums house one of the world’s most important art collections and are an essential stop on any trip to Rome. On this guided tour, you’ll be able to explore its most notable areas in a more enriching way, gaining a better understanding of the context, symbols and stories behind its great works.

The experience begins at the designated meeting point, where you’ll meet the staff before setting off on the tour. Thanks to priority access, you’ll save time and enter without joining the general queue – a particularly useful advantage at such a popular attraction as the Vatican.

Accompanied by a professional guide, you’ll explore some of the museum’s most iconic galleries. The Gallery of Maps and the Gallery of Tapestries form part of an itinerary brimming with artistic details, monumental architecture and pieces that reflect the cultural splendour of the Renaissance.

The highlight of the tour is the visit to the Sistine Chapel, one of the masterpieces of world art. There you’ll be able to admire Michelangelo’s famous ceiling frescoes, including the iconic Creation of Adam, an image that has become a symbol of the High Renaissance.

This tour is ideal for those who want to experience the Vatican in greater depth, rather than simply wandering through the rooms on their own. A comprehensive, comfortable and highly recommended experience for discovering some of Rome’s greatest artistic treasures.

I left feeling that I’d got much more out of the visit than if I’d gone on my own. Lots of art, lots of history and a guide who knew how to keep us engaged.

A very comprehensive and well-explained tour. You do need to bear in mind what to wear when entering religious sites; I saw some people who were concerned about that.

I found the section on Michelangelo the most interesting. The guide did a great job of setting the scene before we entered the Sistine Chapel, as it’s not really the sort of place for long explanations once you’re inside.

The experience was quieter than I’d expected for such a popular spot. The group was manageable and the guide always tried to find good spots to explain things.
