Step by Step

With this fast-track ticket to the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, you can enjoy a must-see visit to Rome with minimal waiting time at the ticket office. Just show up at the reserved time slot and head to the entrance of the Vatican Museums to begin a journey through centuries of art, history and spirituality.

Inside the museums you will discover a huge variety of collections organised in different sections: classical sculpture, Renaissance and Baroque painting, religious art, Egyptian and Etruscan antiquities, tapestries, maps and many other treasures. As you go along, you will pass through such emblematic spaces as the Gallery of Maps, the Gallery of Tapestries, the Belvedere Courtyard and different rooms dedicated to great masters of painting.

The highlight of the tour is the Sistine Chapel, one of the most famous places in the world. There you will be able to contemplate the vault painted by Michelangelo, with scenes from Genesis, and the imposing Last Judgement that covers the altar wall. Seeing these works after having toured the Vatican collections makes the experience a truly special moment for any art and culture lover.

If you choose the corresponding option, you can use the official audio guide of the Vatican Museums, available in Spanish and other languages, which accompanies you room by room with detailed explanations of the most important works and spaces. The ticket also includes a Rome audio guide app, which you can use to learn more about the city's main monuments and points of interest for the rest of your trip.

It's a good plan to do it at your own pace, but you have to be aware that there may be a wait at security and a lot of crowds in key rooms. Even so, for the artistic content, it's well worth it.

I found the Etruscan and Egyptian part very interesting, and it was not on my radar. Then the "famous" galleries are more than adequate. With the time slot, zero stress.

We stopped at courtyards and halls to rest, because the tour is long. The Belvedere Courtyard gave us life. The Sistine at the end is like: OK, now I understand everything.

I was expecting a bit more "silence" in the Sistine and it is impossible with so many people (normal). Still, seeing those frescoes in person leaves you touched. The fact that you can get in without going through the ticket office is appreciated.
