Step by Step

The Rome Omnia Smart Pass combines several of the Eternal City’s most important monuments in a single purchase. You’ll have access to the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, where you can explore one of the world’s greatest art collections and admire Michelangelo’s famous frescoes. Entry to the Vatican requires a pre-booked time slot.

You’ll also be able to delve into ancient Rome with entry to the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill. Before visiting the Colosseum, you’ll need to go to the Mamertine Prison, where you’ll collect your official ticket and can also enjoy a digital audio guide about this historic site. It’s recommended that you book your visit to the Mamertine Prison first and schedule your entry to the Colosseum approximately one hour later.

The pass also includes access to the Lateran Palace with an audio guide, as well as a digital audio guide for St Peter’s Basilica. Added to this are five audio-guided walking tours of areas such as the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, the historic centre, Trastevere and the Jewish Quarter, allowing you to discover Rome beyond its main monuments.

One of the great advantages of the Omnia Smart pass is its flexibility: it is a fully digital pass that can be used in instalments over a 12-month period. This means you can spread your visits according to your itinerary and book each monument at the time that best suits your trip.

The pass is handy, but you need to pay attention to booking times as each monument has its own procedure.

The Vatican Museums were impressive, and having the Colosseum included allowed us to complete an important part of the trip.
