Step by Step
This Lower Antelope Canyon hiking tour allows you to explore one of the most fascinating and photographed canyons in the world, famous for its sinuous shapes, reddish and orange hues and the way light filters through its walls. Located southeast of Page, Arizona, this natural environment has been shaped over thousands of years by the erosion of water and wind on sandstone.
The tour is always guided by a Navajo guide, as access to the canyon is regulated and organised by licensed operators. Along the way you will discover narrow passageways, impossible curves, textures sculpted by nature and formations that constantly change according to the position of the sun. It is no coincidence that it is considered one of the great dreams of any photography enthusiast.
The trail inside the canyon takes approximately 60 minutes and offers a much more up-close and immersive experience than a simple panoramic tour. Along the way you'll have time to take photos and watch the light bounce off the walls, creating a natural spectacle of colours, shadows and reflections. It is, however, a physically demanding route in some sections, with stairs, slopes, narrow passages and uneven surfaces.
It is an experience designed for active travellers who want to discover one of Arizona's great natural treasures from the inside, in a surprising and very unique environment. If you are looking for a different kind of visit, visually stunning and connected to the landscape of the Navajo territory, this excursion to Lower Antelope Canyon is a safe bet.
