Step by Step

Visit the southernmost area of the Basque Country, specifically Vitoria and Rioja Alavesa, thanks to this excursion departing from Bilbao. Bilbao is about 70 km from these places, so in order to travel to them this tourincludes all journeys in air-conditioned vehicles. Pick-up and drop-off at selected hotels is also available.

A local tour guide will always be with you from the very beginning so that you can learn as much as possible about the history and traditions of these places. In Vitoria you will learn about the most important moments in Basque history along with some of its best monuments such as the Cathedral of the Virgen Blanca or the statue of El Caminante.

On the other hand, Vitoria, being a capital city, has a large number of shops and boutiques. On this excursion you will visit one of them where you will taste traditional Basque sweets and handicrafts.

La Rioja Alavesa, on the other hand, focuses its main tourist attraction on the high quality of its wines. Thanks to this activity you will visit the inside of a winery. Throughout the tour, you will be shown how wine must be processed and preserved, as well as the different machines that are used for this purpose. At the end of the visit you will have a wine tasting with some of their best products.

This winery will be one of those located in the village of Laguardia. It has been awarded on several occasions as the most beautiful village in Spain, so in addition to the wine, you will be able to enjoy an unforgettable walk through its streets.
