This 48-hour open-top bus ticket will allow you to experience the magic of Lisbon, one of the most important and ideal cities to live in Europe.
You will purchase a ticket valid forexploring two long and busy routes, plus a tram ride through the hills of the city.
You will have the opportunity to visit more than 50 of the Portuguese capital's iconic sites and monuments , taking in the ones you like and prefer on foot.
Among the must-sees is Lisbon's impressive Park of Nations, which stretches for about 6 km to the north and brings together many of the top stops for tourists and locals alike:
- Belém Tower: this monument was built in the 16th century as a fortress to protect Lisbon during the Age of Discoveries.
- Vasco da Gama Bridge: you will be impressed by the 17 km length of this bridge, which at its highest point reaches about 150 metres.
- Oriente Station: an architectural marvel with steel and glass details inspired by trees, which houses one of Lisbon's most important metro and train stations.
The two routes you can explore are Belém and Lisboa Moderna. As you pass through the Belém neighbourhood, you will see the amazing Jerónimos Monastery.
This historic site of the city, declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco, was built to celebrate the heyday of the Age of Discovery in Portugal, with the explorer Vasco da Gama as the main protagonist.
Another unforgettable visit can be to Lisbon Cathedral, located in the Alfama district, founded in the 12th century. Its Romanesque-style façade is one of the most beautiful spots to photograph. With the audio guide on board the bus, you will learn a little of its history.
When you enter the National Tile Museum you can admire the works of art immortalised in this type of ceramic, a unique style characteristic of Portugal, with pieces dating from the 16th century onwards.
