Lyon Aquarium Tickets

Lyon Aquarium tickets give you access to a fascinating modern facility. When you book, simply select your desired date and arrive anytime during opening hours. The aquarium is open from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM.

Opened in 2002, the aquarium offers an immersive journey through 5 themed areas:

• Temperate Freshwater. This section showcases species from the region's rivers and lakes. Among its most intriguing residents is the catfish.
• Shark Pit. Get face-to-face with these extraordinary predators, including the blacktip reef shark (recognizable by the dark tips on its fins) and the smaller leopard shark, which feeds on bottom-dwelling invertebrates.
• Tropical Freshwater. The aquarium's tanks recreate the habitat of the piranha, famous for its razor-sharp teeth and insatiable appetite. Another noteworthy inhabitant is the alligator gar, known for its unique ability to survive out of water.
• Saltwater. A vibrant zone home to clownfish, panther groupers, anemones, moray eels, and dozens of other species. You'll also marvel at a spectacular coral reef.
• The Five Senses. Featuring specially designed touch tanks where you can gently touch turbot, starfish, rays, sea cucumbers, and other marine animals. This area is often a favorite among kids!

Beyond the themed zones, the aquarium screens documentaries that explain the habits and characteristics of marine creatures. Don't forget to visit the lovely gift shop!

The aquarium is located in La Mulatière, a town southwest of Lyon at the confluence of the Rhône and Saône rivers, easily accessible from downtown. From Lyon-Perrache multimodal station, the journey takes just over half an hour. If you're driving, you'll be pleased to know the aquarium offers free parking.
