Step by Step

This comprehensive tour of Prague is one of the best ways to get to know the city if you are visiting the Czech capital for the first time or only have a few days to spare. Over the course of a 6-hour tour, a professional guide will take you through the main historic districts and help you understand how Prague evolved from a medieval city into one of the great capitals of Central Europe.

The route takes in such iconic sites as Old Town Square, where you can admire the famous Astronomical Clock, the Church of Our Lady before Týn and other historic buildings. From there, you’ll continue to the Jewish Quarter, one of the city’s most historically significant areas, before heading towards the Vltava River and crossing the legendary Charles Bridge.

On the other side of the river, you’ll discover Malá Strana, one of Prague’s most picturesque and elegant neighbourhoods, before continuing towards the Prague Castle area. To get there, you’ll take the tram, so you’ll need a public transport ticket. During the tour, you’ll learn about the significance of the castle, St Vitus Cathedral and other key sites for understanding the history of Bohemia.

As well as showing you the major monuments, the tour focuses on the stories, characters and legends that have shaped Prague for over a thousand years.

Very complete tour, with history, sights and different neighbourhoods. I ended up with sores, but also with a lot of photos and a good impression of Prague.

The walk along the Vltava at the end was my favourite part. After seeing the city from above and from the streets, seeing it from the water completes the experience.

I enjoyed discovering the city on foot and not just hopping from monument to monument. You get a better understanding of how the neighbourhoods are connected.

Some of the explanations in noisy areas were not very audible, but overall the visit was very good and complete.
